Wines of Toad Hollow
With Owner Frankie Williams
Toad Hollow has been making excellent wines for the past 20 years.
Their commitment to making great wines at a reasonable price
is what has made them a Meritage favorite.
We have offered Toad Hollow wines since we opened 7 years ago, and I have always appreciated the quality of the wines and, of course, the price. As you know, we don't often get the owner to be at our wine dinners, so this will be a unique opportunity to meet and talk to Frankie about her wines.

Toad Hollow Vineyard Wine Dinner at Local Three
Join us as we host Frankie Williams of Toad Hollow Vineyards as she pours her iconic wines with brilliant sense of humor. In the Bushwood, on October 30th. If you're not familiar with Toad Hollow, you really should be - visit http://www.toadhollow.com/our-story/the-chronicle for the wonderful fairy tale story of how this project started and has evolved into one of America's favorite, and most recognized brands.
Longtime friends Todd Williams and Rodney Strong created Toad Hollow Vineyards when they released their first vintage of unoaked chardonnay in 1994. As one of the leaders in unoaked Chardonnay, their consistent style featuring bright, crisp fruit flavors, continues to be a favorite. Todd and his wife Francine (Frankie) eventually became owners of the winery producing high quality wines at an affordable price. MAR. 2-4 & 9-11, 2012
Members of the Wine Road would like to welcome you to our wineries and lodgings for an exciting weekend of wine tasting. This is your chance to sample wines from the barrel, talk to winemakers and explore the beautiful Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River Valleys.
Barrel Tasting is not a food or themed event. It's all about the WINE...many wineries offer "futures" on their barrel samples. This is a chance to purchase wine now, often at a discount, then come back to the winery when the wine is bottled, typically 12-18 months from now. Many wines are so limited, buying futures is your only chance to purchase them.
Attendees are encouraged to pack a picnic as most wineries will not have food for this event. The ticket price includes the opportunity to sample wine from the barrel and in most cases also trying a limited number of current release wines.
JAN. 14&15, 2012
This is the 20th anniversary of Winter Wineland and a great opportunity to meet winemakers, taste limited production wines, new releases or library wines. Some wineries will offer food pairings and others will have tours. Each participating winery will either host an artist for the weekend, so you will enjoy their fine-art, or the winery will have an educational display to help you learn about vineyard management or wine making....thus, Wine ~ Art ~ Education. Download the detailed program to see exactly what each winery will offer for the weekend.....then plan your tasting adventure.
NOV. 25, 2011
Ticket price will include wine tasting at all of the participating wineries for the weekend.
This event does not take place at one location. You travel from winery to winery, visiting the ones you are interested in exploring.
Downtown Holiday Party
Healdsburg’s annual Downtown Holiday Party, sponsored by the Healdsburg Merchant’s Association, will take place on Friday, November 25th.
The event highlights the downtown business area, featuring open houses, food, wine and holiday treats at participating businesses. Jazz music will be playing, and horse-drawn carriage rides around town will be available. Many shops will feature special sales for this event, and special packages are offered for accommodations. This is also the occasion for the lighting of the town Christmas tree in the Plaza, sponsored by VNA Hospice of Sonoma County.
