It’s that time of year! Beautiful colored leaves, the smell of the first drops of rain on pavement, and cookies baking in the oven are what we at the Hollow consider the Fine Art of Fall. The Fine Art of Fall also includes pairing delicious seasonal foods with deep rich red wines and getting together with friends to share. Our national Fine Art of Fall campaign features Toad Hollow red wines in retail stores in your neighborhood.
Coinciding with our national campaign is a new Toad Hollow fall tradition: our Fine Art of Fall Instagram contest. Our second annual contest is on its way, and we hope you join in the fun. Here is how it works:
We invite Instagram users to post fall pastime photos using #THfineartoffall. Share images of your favorite fall activities: hiking in the mountains, baking pies, cycling through fall colors, cooking a family recipe, or watching a football game. Photos that include toads, Toad Hollow T-shirts, and Toad Hollow wines are encouraged. Our staff will judge which of the shared images wins a fantastic prize that you’ll cherish always!
Our longtime and very talented label artist, Maureen Erickson, will create an art print that incorporates the winning image and our iconic Toad. Maureen has designed Toad Hollow labels for more than 20 years. She’s created countless fun-loving images of our Toad for posters, T-shirts, and seasonal marketing promotions.
The winning Instagram image will be announced through the winery’s social media platforms. The winner will receive the final print, framed and signed by both Maureen Erickson and Toad Hollow owner Frankie Williams.
Last year, the Fine Art of Fall Instagram winner was Mary Stover of Block Island, Rhode Island. Using the hashtag #THfineartoffall, Mary submitted her interpretation of the Fine Art of Fall along with dozens of other Toad Hollow Instagram followers. Toad Hollow staff recognized her image of barefoot friends launching a lantern at the seaside as an exceptional interpretation of fall. Please note: If your Instagram account is set up as private, photos you upload with our hashtag can be seen only by your own followers. If you want to enter the contest as a private Instagram user or if you don’t have an Instagram account, email your #THfineartoffall photos to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will post them for you. Be sure to include the name or handle by which you want to be identified. We will not post your personal information.
The contest ends December 1, 2018. The winner will be announced on January 31, 2019.
